For planning purposes, we intend to open schools on time for the remainder of the week. Additional areas across the district were addressed today, and buses were able to make complete runs.  While cold weather, snow, and some icy patches remain, please be sure your child(ren) wears appropriate footwear and uses caution when entering our schools.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding with our schedule changes this week. We will communicate promptly if conditions change.

Many weather reports indicate a high probability of a significant storm impacting our area this weekend. As a result, there is a strong likelihood that we may have our first Flexible Instructional Day (FID) of the year on Monday, Jan. 26. As with any inclement weather, we will make a decision as early as possible to give staff and families time to prepare for a possible schedule change.

Please remind your child(ren) to bring their iPads home this weekend in case we are not in school on Monday. If an FID is necessary, the following will occur:

- All student work will be asynchronous.

- Work will be posted by 8:00 a.m. for secondary students and 9:00 a.m. for elementary students.

- Teachers will hold three 30-minute blocks of time for students to connect with them via email, Schoology messages, and Google Meets. The times are 9:15-9:45 a.m., 11-11:30 a.m., and 1-1:30 p.m.

We will continue to monitor the storm closely to make an informed decision. In the meantime, please stay warm and watch for updates regarding a possible schedule change for Monday.
